The deeper reason behind it
WHY SOULŌ EXISTS
Soulō was born from a simple truth: when we become seriously ill, most of us don't struggle because we lack access to treatment. We struggle because we lack guidance and hope.
Kenyan-born Pooja Samani spent years teaching fitness and using her collaborative movement studio, Beyond Body, to build a community rooted in wellness, strength and connection. At 39, everything shifted when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. The news felt like a punch to the gut, and some of the conventional treatments she was offered made her feel deeply uncomfortable.
HOW IT STARTED
“So, I paused and listened to my intuition.” After surgery, Pooja chose an alternative healing path grounded in nature and ancient wisdom. She spent months researching and exploring various alternative modalities. In doing so, she gradually shed the layers of fear that had shaped much of her life to that point. This personal healing journey also showed her how powerful the body can be, how essential intuition is, and how deeply people who recover from serious illness need safe, nurturing spaces.
Stability & Survival
OUR INTENTION
“My cancer journey showed me how isolating illness can be, how overwhelming the noise of the world can become, and how easily fear takes over when you don't know where to turn.”
Pooja discovered that healing isn't just something done to you, but something awakened within you.
Soulō's mission is to:
- Bridge the gap between wellness, intuition and the tools nature has given us to survive and thrive.
- Create spaces where anyone in deep need of healing, and their loved ones, can find hope, empathy and personalised support.
- Make holistic modalities, such as personalised cancer coaching and sound healing, accessible in Nairobi and beyond.
